MID-TERM REVIEW UPDATE
Mid-term review of the FREIA project: updates and next steps on how novel research is helping identifying endocrine disrupting chemicals that harm female reproductive health.
To mark the start of the final stages of FREIA, the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) has teamed up with the research project to launch a review of its main findings and milestones of research into the effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) on female reproductive health thus far.

ENDOCRINE DISRUPTING CHEMICALS (EDCs) AND WOMEN’S REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
This factsheet gives an overview of what is currently known about EDCs and their impact on women’s reproductive health. It also highlights the challenges to adequately regulate EDCs in European chemical regulations and how FREIA aims to improve this.
This factsheet was written by FREIA and the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL), and is endorsed by the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) and the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS).
